New Blog - Official Announcement!

Hey gang! It's been a long time coming...but I have decided to create a new blog strictly for Redonkulous Designs and my products. It was a big decision that I pondered over for months, since I opened my Etsy shop actually. So, I have come to the conclusion this really is the best thing for me. I would like to keep it separate from my traditional art I use in my portfolio...but you can always sneak back and stalk me if you want to see what I am up to in the art world. I will leave this post up for a while, until my followers and visitors get use to the idea, and I will hold off on posting my rendered pieces of art.  So come for a visit to my new blog, become a follower, and lets be friends! You can find my new blog here!

Goth Digital Stamp,

I had the most wonderful long weekend (family day) here in Ontario Canada.  Spent a lot of time with hubby Jim, and my son Kolby.  Sadly, I had to work to finish a deadline project that was due Tuesday morning - but in return, my company was nice enough to give me the rest of the day off!  So of course what a better time to go to the doctor and listen to my little baby's heart beat and get some blood work done!!! There is definitely a little bean in there (who is the size of an avocado right now)!!!  Starting to feel a LITTLE better!  Things are looking up. :)  This weekend I am trying to finish up a mother and son Digital Stamp.

Here is my latest Digi Stamp - "Goth Birthday". She's pretty chill - as the teens say these days! :)

Also available without the decorations!

Digital Stamp - Seduction Suzie

I finally finished up my latest digi stamp. I can't wait to see her coloured up! It must be that Valentine's Day air that made me want to draw this girly.  Also perfect for Birthdays, Christmas, or Anniversaries!

2 Dollar Digital Stamps!!!

I just started a new section in my shop for some cheap digital stamps. I figured since I have been feeling so sick from this growing baby in my belly, I may as well do some images that were a bit more simplistic and affordable. They are still a high quality digi that takes time, but no where near as long as my girlies or other characters. I'm also working on another girly Digital Stamp which has been my "on and off" weekly project. Baby steps for this momma this week...so stay tuned! :)

Gift of L♥ve Digital Stamp

Just in time for Valentines Day!  I have been having an urge to create another Digi Stamp since it has been sooooo long since my last one.  Morning sickness won't get the best of me yet - although this Digital Stamp took much longer than it should have, as I had to take some breaks here and there.  Not to mention my overload of work at my job has kept me from my fun.  :(  On the plus side, my employer is giving me my Birthday off, which is this Tuesday - YAY!  More time with my son and hubby...and a trip to the doctors too.  We will be getting our first ultrasound, and we are so excited!!!

Yes, it's True! We Are Expecting Agian!

Hang tight my friends, new stamps will be coming soon! :)

If you noticed a drop in production, it's because we are expecting another little baby early August.  YAY! Right now this baby is sucking the life outta me, not to mention chasing a 2 year old around has been quite a challenge - LOL!  Things should pick up within the next 3 to 4 weeks I hope, that is, if I'm not praying to the porcelain gods (to put it mildly - hehehe!).  They say once you are into the second trimester, the nausea and cookie tossing goes away for MOST pregnant women, and the extreme tiredness should subside.  I can't wait to feel like myself again and that's an understatement.  When I was pregnant with Kolby I didn't feel this sick.  It was very nieve of me to think this baby would be a cake walk too.  Here's hoping for a healthy beautiful baby again!  We are so excited!!!

Another Christmas Digital Stamp!

Today I finally finished one of two more Christmas Digital Stamps. It was tight with my busy work schedule, but I finally pulled it off...err well um, at least one of them. :S
Today Jim and Kolby left me alone to work on my Digital Stamp, what a nice hubby! I'm feeling a little under the weather today anyway so its best the day is quiet and somewhat productive. Jim is buying a new sled for Kolby. I had a hard time dragging Kolby's stroller through the snow this past week to our care provider, so this is a must have item right now...except the snow melted away! Figures. At least I am ready when it snows again this time. One day we will buy a second vehicle...one day...

Fun Weekend and Latest Digital Stamp & Clipart

I had an absolutely fantastic weekend with my family. We went to the Santa Claus parade and Kolby was totally stoked about all of the firetrucks, motorcycles, and floats with waving men, women, and children! I must admit that I barely saw a thing as I was staring at my son's reaction to everything he was seeing. His eyes were quarters when he saw Santa and his reindeer! What an awesome experience! He and his Daddy just melt my heart!

It wasn't all fun and games. It was back to the drawing board for me, as I tried to finish up my latest digital stamp and clip art I had started throughout the week. Isn't she lovely? I am so happy with how this gorgeous wedding girly turned out! And the colour printout is absolutely gorgeous! I love all things that sparkle and saturated with beautiful colours. I can just see this girl on a greeting card full of bling! Hehehe! She's also available as a Digital Stamp, so be sure to click the Redonkulous Designs Etsy store bar at the top of the page to purchase this gorgeous digi stamp to add to your collection!

So what else is new this week?

I'm having my Black Friday Sale, so be sure to check out my Redonkulous Designs Facebook page for the Coupon Code. It would be most appreciated if you like the page, but not required to get the code. I'm just trying to build a bit of a following. :) If you're a fan of my artwork, than "like" my Facebook page and follow me on Blogger - it's that simple! Thank you so much, and big hugs in advanced!

Up next are my Christmas Digital Stamps...so stay tuned. I hope to get them done before Friday - but it is crazy busy at work and there is a big deadline this Friday. Boooo! :( Oh, that real world stuff is always getting in the way of my fun! ;) Have a great week everyone!

Meet "Ribbit" Everyone!

This is my 2 year old son Ribbit (otherwise known as Kolby). He just loves this frog blanket that my hubby brought home one day from Costco. Kolby absolutely fell in love with this blanket and will not leave home without him. I asked him what his name was and he quickly replied Ribbit! Ribbit has been through the wash 100 times, been through the snow and dragged in the mud. You will notice part of his hands are falling apart - but we won't judge! :) So this is what lead me to my next digital stamp creation! I had to call it Ribbit b/c it just seemed so fitting. If you have never seen these blankets in Costco - they have some new ones right now in Canada. The kids LOVE them!!! No joke, the kids always point with excitment when Kolby is wearing his out in public. The parents often stop and ask me where I purchased it. Nothing like bringing smiles to strangers faces! They would make a really sweet Christmas Gift. I'm not mentioning the matching pillows they have. You would just melt from their cuteness!

Well another busy weekend...

I went to North Bay this weekend and got to see my Aunt Kim from Just Wordz selling some of her crafty stuff at the craft show. It was awesome to see the cards she did of mine, and let me tell you, the pictures really don't do them justice!!! They all look so good!

While I was in the Bay visiting, I brought my supplies and drew some rough concepts during the 4 hour car ride. I managed to pump out 4 drawings, and spent Saturday and Sunday cleaning up my American and Canadian version of "Welcome Home Soldier" Stamps. I just love these ones b/c it is the season to remember our veterans and our soldiers who are out there today fighting for freedom. A friend of mine lost her husband to the war a few years ago, and we almost lost a dear childhood American friend in the Pentagon during the 9/11 attacks; who was born and raised in Canada. So lets all remember the ones we love and show them that we appreciate them.

Official Opening! YAY!

Today was the official day my store was made public. I at least made 2 sales in one day! Woohoo! Did I mention the customers didn't even buy a Digi Stamp? I sold my building blocks clip art, and 1 inch square kaleidoscope designs! Didn't see that one coming, but I'm so happy! I think I will have to post an ideas page on what the customers would like to see on my Facebook. I made the mistake by focusing on Halloween when I should have done something more generic. Hindsight is 20/20 though. I really thought people would eat up the Halloween images and get the odd etsy member to purchase, but then when I thought it through, it really doesn't make sense to create a Halloween card - but then again I could be wrong. I need to go with my gut, and maybe focus on the things I love, like fairies, angels, butterflies, babies, girly girls, and animals. You know - the cute things in life. I have several ideas, but we will have to leave these a surprise right? :) To purchase this latest Digit Stamp click here: Babies and Butterflies Also, don't forget to visit me at my Redonkulous Designs Facebook Page

Opening up Redonkulous Designs

Shame on me for not updating my blog for a whole year! I have been a busy bee as a new mom, and recently getting my Etsy shop up and running. It's a lot of work, and hopefully it will bring in more income so we can send our baby boy to an early education facility. It's funny when you have a baby, it becomes all about them and less about yourself. It's a beautiful thing, and I am so happy! Check out my etsy shop. It's called Redonkulous Designs, and I will be making digital stamps, clip art, scrapbooking papers, and much more! The official launch is Nov 1st. I decided to open a bit early so that I can get use to the procedures. Check it out!

AGA Mainstreet has launched

Many of you already know that I am working on the online game All Girl Arcade. I was asked to revamp the mainstreet page. There are mixed reactions when talking to the girls online. Some say it is awesome, while other don't like change. Heh! You can't please everyone I suppose, but I think it is an improvement from the original. Here is a screen grab of the hard work I put into my first environment design. Not bad for never doing one...I think. :)

In Memory of Tuffy

Here is a portrait I did of Jim's Aunt and Uncle's dog who passed away. Such a beautiful dog. It was a real pleasure to do something nice for such a nice family.

Some Cyber Chase Designs

Here is a small sample of some of the Cyber Chase characters that I did over the past year or two. I have finally found some time to share it with you during my time off. It kills me that the next season of Cyber Chase concepts is starting in June and I will be on maternity leave. I love drawing all of the different creatures and characters for this show. Soooo, I guess this is my little tribute to the show and to WNET for such a great series for children. Gonna miss it big time!!! In the mean time, I will have to let my son watch all of the Cyber Chase shows so that he becomes really smart. I will also have to doodle my own fun stuff to keep myself busy, so stay tuned!

Janice Huff-Guest Starred in an episode of Cyber Chase; she is WNBC's meteorologist for "Today in New York," and "News Channel 4"

Matthew Broderick guest starred as Creech's Dad "Max" in this episode of Cyber Chase

The perfectamundians: Here I had to create a whole new race for Cyber Chase. They had to be characters that could climb up walls...so I thought, "How could this be possible?" Then I got a great idea to give them suction cup feet and hands with suction fingers. Turned out nice I think!

The stuff you don't see within these builds are the mouth charts. Every character that is created have mouth charts, eyeblinks, and eyebrow expressions for each view that is created. Here is a sample of the mouth charts I did for this character.

There are tons more of these Perfectamundo characters, but I would be here all day if I were to post them all! :O) Here is one more.

Flora...believe it or not, this was a very complicated character. Her limbs had to be animatable, and mouths of course were a bit of a challange but not too bad.

CYBER CHASE ANIMALS

Deedle Beast! What is a Deedle Beast you ask? I didn't know either until I designed one! He is an adorable furry beast-like creature that is a pet in the Cyber Chase world. I had a lot of fun designing this little guy along with all of his cute costumes!

...Well that is all I have for you today! If I find anymore I will post them in the future!
